Whoo Hoo ... I'm down a half pound. Maybe there is something to eating mostly fruits & veggies all day long. I wouldn't say that I feel better energy wise like all the articles have claimed but losing a half pound has made me feel better & it's giving me the needed push to not give up.
I did exercise yesterday, a 2 mile walk video. My back started to feel like it was being twisted so I stopped ... then this morning (half heartedly) I worked out to Denise Austin who was on Lifetime TV. I don't know why but to me she has one of the most annoying voices around ... she also can't keep to the beat to save her own life. I'll be trying for a workout later today. I really want to get back into moving, I don't feel like myself if I'm just sitting around. Hurt or not ... I feel like a lazy bum if I haven't exercised. I guess maybe I'm weird ... maybe it's the factt hat I have been exercising since I was about 18 nearly everyday & it's become a part of my life, one that I actually enjoy!
Ok, on to another day of healthy food choices. Someone asked me a question yesterday & I would like to address it.
Q: How does the family feel about the food changes?
A: My husband loves the changes. He says this is the way he grew up eating because they couldn't afford much more than fruits & veggies. My kids ... ummm ... well they like the fruit as long as I let them have a 100 calorie pack or a cup of ice cream throughout the day too. The wheat bread my son loves, my daughter says white is the bomb & wheat is satins spawn. LMAO ... We had brown rice last night & both kids hated it, but to be honest, they really don't like white rice either. I put peas in the salad & they seemed to like it. Don't know what their going to say to salad again tonight! Maybe I'll put squash in it to mix it up.

ReplyDeleteMy best friend (who lives next door to me) makes the best salad. When I am in a salad mood, she makes some for me too... ( i have her over for dinner all the time, so it balances it out...lol) She puts, beans, almonds, avacado, squash, cucumbers, cheese, chicken, apples, oranges, walnuts.... Different variations to mix it up so it isn't the same all the time. Hope that helps.
ReplyDeleteChristina
