Video of the Day

Prevention Fitness Systems - Dance Yourself ThinAmazon.com has this fabulous video or you can go to Walmart or pretty much any place that carried workout videos.

By now you're probably getting the idea that I love to dance ... a lot!!!

Cost: Amazon sells this video for about $13 brand new but you can always get the used copy. I paid the same price for mine at Walmart but didn't have to pay shipping & handling.

Rating: If you have to left feet like my girl Erica then this probably isn't for you. Not unless you want to do this video several times. If you pick up steps pretty quickly & love to dance then this is a great way to melt off the fat. It's around 40 minutes long, it consists of a warm up & cool down plus 2 - 15 min routines. The first routine is an African dance which I think is pretty cool ... not something you usually see in a workout video then the second one was a regge dance which I just love. The instructor gives very good directions and builds each move to the one before it. I especially like this video because it contains exercising do's & don'ts plus for you ladies who go off to work in an office ... desk moves.

Last look at the news & their calling for another record breaker. 106 degrees & that's not heat index temps. Yeah ... Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket it's a scorcher!

Stand Up for Rock-Hard Abs!

Most people think it takes hundreds of crunches to get a rock-hard belly. But there's another little secret many people miss. By standing correctly and pulling your abs in tight like I do, you'll work them out all day long! After all, what do you think works better, five minutes of crunches a day or 16 hours of holding your abs in? Not that crunches don't work — they do — but you'll get faster, better results by improving your posture, too.

Try this trick: When you sit and stand, imagine there's a string attached to the top of your head pulling your whole body up. See how your hips automatically tuck under and your tummy sucks in? For comparison, slump down and see how your stomach pooches out. If you don't have good posture now, it will take a while to "train" your body how to sit and stand correctly. But keep it up and soon it will become second nature. There you go — you look great!

  4. Sounds like a good video.  I don't dance. Probably would look really goofy.  I am also one of those who need to practice good posture.  Sitting and standing.
