Rockin the House

OMG ... I woke up thinking I was going to dread the day cause I had a headache. At 6am I said get up & exercise & my body gave my brain the 1 finger salute ... at 7 I said get up & exercise & my body once again didn't oblige ... I did get up but no cardio for me. I had to get this headache to go away. I think it had something to do with not drinking my coffee yesterday so it's the first place I went this morning ... the coffee pot. The kids had their weekly computer/PE class at the youth center which meant 2+ hours of alone time ... I really needed the alone time. I'm rarely alone anymore! Anyway ... I decided come hell or high water I have got to get in a good workout. My knee was still messing with me so I knew it would have to be something light but still get me sweaty! I knew it had to be YBB (Yoga Booty Ballet). I went for the Light & Easy

Yoga Booty Ballet 2-Disc Set: Light & Easy / Latin FlavorI believe I have already talked about this one. Got it at Target for about $15, it's a 2 workout video for the price of one. Very much worth the money. It's around 20 min. of light cardio then goes into a 15-20 min yoga session. Love It!

After the workout was over I felt so invigorated that I couldn't stop there so I broke out my new $1 video that I pick up at Walmart over the weekend. OMG Sharon ... you're gonna love it. If you haven't already broke it open, you better.

 

The cover says it's about 42 minutes long but my counter said it's right around 30-35 minutes. It's a fabulous all over workout. You work your upper body for 1 minute then to your lower body ... You use water bottles, weights, resistance bands or nothing at all. I learned a new move with my resistance bands for the outer thighs ... it's amazing!

Well, when this was over I felt like I could do a little more so I broke out my 1 mile walk/jog video by Leslie Sansone. NOT the one from yesterday ... I'm not sure I will ever work out to that one again.

One is a 4 mile walk/jog while the second disc is a 1 mile walk/jog with a thighs slimmer following. I have never done the thigh slimmer part cause I always thought I didn't have the time for it. HA ... I had time this morning ... no kids to call me for help with school work, no mommy I'm hungry can I have a snack .... no mommy she hit me! NOTHING but a quiet house. Anyway, I loved the walk but the thigh slimmer imo was just a little to easy for me. I think next time instead of using my bands I will use my 8 pound weights. I just needed it to be hardert han it was. It's probably perfect for beginners.

Onto my food choices. Oh yeah ... I'm rocking the house with this too. I WILL BE lighter come Friday morning. I may not win any of the challenges but by gosh I'm gonna win my own battle with this fat.

  2. I could NEVER work out at home.  To many distractions.  Its the gym or outside.  You are doing great!!  2 more days till weigh in.
